Global Constitutionalism
And its Challenges to the Westphalian Constitutional Law

The conference “Global Constitutionalism and its Challenges to the Westphalian Constitutional Law” will be held on 7 April 2017 at the University of Sofia “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Faculty of Law. Its general aim is to engage in the ongoing debates on the possibility, the legitimacy and the constitutional shapes and limits of the supranational, European and global constitutionalism. This aim is going to be achieved through contributions devoted to the general theory of global constitutionalism and to its specific manifestations in the framework of the EU constitutionalism and their discussion with conference participants meant to be multidiscursive and critical to the issues of global constitutionalism. The speakers will provide analysis from the point of view of the constitutional law theory, European law theory and the general theory of state and law.
